Writing Challenge and Self Care Day
Spent the morning relaxing making my favorite breakfast. The bagels are from my sister’s at home bakery and they are fabulous. Later that evening my husband and I went to our favorite Boba place for Milk tea and Popcorn Chicken (The best!).
I started a 90 day writing challenge which I am both scared and excited about. I’m terrible at keeping consistent schedules for a long period of time, but I really need something to keep me on track so my book can actually be published in the nearer future.
I got a good amount on paper and then decided to do some scrapbooking based off of my poem. Had a lot of fun with that and love the results!
And then I decided to do my nails to match the cold weather that came in very suddenly. All in all I had a wonderful day!
A Day Out…
I spent a day out with my sisters, mom, and granny a while back. We were on a mission to get photos to turn one of my poems into a book. I had some expectation o what I wanted which didn’t all turn out, but in the process we got some amazing shots that ended up being my favorite!
We took a walk downtown after our breakfast that morning. I’ve always loved the river walk; watching the ducks float by, the leaves fall gently on the water and just the overall atmosphere. It was a bit hot that day, although it was October, but we survived and stopped by one of our favorite places to eat and cool down.
We have a long way to go before my poem turns into a book but I am so excited for the finished project!
The first step…
When I first though of the idea of SunDrop Writing’s website I wasn’t sure what exactly I would use it for. However I decided to go for it and see where it takes me. I first started an Instagram with the same name just to have a place to get comfortable with sharing my love and joy of writing.
My hope for this website is that it will be a place I can become even more comfortable with writing and my journey along the way for both my poems and my books. I also want it to be a central point that my readers can come to and enjoy my writing or any other form of creativity I wish to share.
My logo came about from the name SunDrop which in turn had come about from a photo I took with a sunflower. To me, a sunflower is a honeyed-sunshine colored flower with petals in the shape of raindrops; a perfect picture of a few of my favorite things. I hope you love my logo as much as I do and that you stay around to keep me company on this journey!
